DELF Junior exam preparation classes

High school students will develop listening, writing and speaking skills to prepare for the DELF exams.

The DELF, Dipl么me d'Etudes en Langue Fran莽aise, is a diploma awarded by the French Ministry of Education, via France Education International.

This diploma is internationally recognised, is valid for life, and opens a vast array of opportunities to study in French-speaking universities around the world.

A select number of Australian universities will accept your DELF diploma and positively adjust your ATAR result to improve your selection ranking.

History Workshop

This exciting workshop focuses on introducing students to French history through conversation, films, documentaries and current events.

The History Workshop is best suited for French background speakers (ie: students who were enrolled in the Francophone stream at KHPS) from Year 7 and up.

The Workshop teaching is organised over 2 years.

Part 1:  Students learn about the French Revolution, the Industrial Revolution, the early French Republics and French Colonisation.
Taught on even years (2024).

Part 2:  Students learn about the two World Wars, the Cold War and Decolonisation.
Taught on odd years (2025).

Wednesdays from 4.30 to 6.00pm

News and Current Affairs

This new workshop aims at developing students' critical thinking skills by discussing topics to better understand the world they live in.

Topics discussed will cover France 5th Republique and the presidential elections, how the European Union came about, the place of France in the current francophone world, as well as the current migration crisis in Europe and its relationship with past and current conflicts in the Middle East.

This workshop is best suited for French background speakers (students who were enrolled in the Francophone stream at KHPS) from Year 7 and up, but we recommend mature students due to the nature of the discussions that will be held.
It is delivered through conversation, films, documentaries, and current news.
